Re Adventures Boss Guide: Akainu in Marineford Infinite
A battle plan for the reported Marineford Infinite encounter, with reward reports separated from what gameplay footage actually proves.
Where the Akainu route begins
September 23–24 editorial guides place the Akainu encounter in Marineford Infinite, also described as Navy Bay's Infinite mode. Their reported reward path is to defeat the boss, collect a capsule, and open it for Fire Shards or a possible direct Fire Fist/Ace. Destructoid reports a 100-Fire-Shard exchange at a Luffy NPC as another route. The source reports explain why players farm the boss; they do not establish an official spawn chance, capsule drop probability, or guaranteed number of runs.
Go to Play, open the world picker, and select Navy Bay/Marineford only if it is unlocked. Choose Infinite rather than a Story act with the same world name. If locked, return to the prerequisite shown by the live interface. Read the mode's reward preview before committing to a long run; the official game listing was restricted during our September 28 check, so we could not confirm today's menu ourselves.
- Confirm the world and mode: Navy Bay/Marineford, Infinite. The boss route in the guides is not a normal Story clear.
- Check the run reward preview and your equipped units before you queue; change the squad in Collection if needed.
- Keep one way to clear ordinary waves, one way to hurt a durable boss, and a support or economy option only if your early defense can afford it.
Build for both the waves and the boss
An Infinite run can end before the boss if ordinary enemies leak. Start with a damage unit that clears the opening lane, then add area coverage where groups spend the longest time within range. Only after the path is stable should you invest in a Gold farmer or expensive boss specialist. If the map sends flying enemies in your attempt, check targeting and bring a Hill or hybrid option rather than assuming raw damage will solve it.
For the boss slot, September unit guides describe Kyzen (Founder) as a strong cross-mode damage dealer with shield breaking. Commander supports physical attackers; Mochi Charlot and Devil Boss are reported to slow targets, though the latter has conflicting bug reports. These are examples of roles to fill with units you own, not a mandatory composition. Do not pair a physical-only buff with a magic carry and then expect a damage increase; read the current unit description. The /units/ archive explains those compatibility limits.
| Run phase | What to watch | Spend next on |
|---|---|---|
| Opening waves | Do normal enemies reach the exit? | An affordable damage placement and enough area coverage |
| Stable mid-run | Are upgrades keeping pace with enemy health? | Your main carry, then economy only while the lane remains safe |
| Boss appears | Does its health or a visible shield stall? | Focused boss damage, applicable support, or shield breaking if the UI shows a shield |
| After the fight | What did the result or inventory actually award? | Collect and inspect any capsule before planning another run |

When Akainu arrives, preserve the rest of the lane
Do not sell all wave clear the moment a boss appears. Keep ordinary enemies from slipping through while you upgrade the units that can keep the boss in range. If its health barely moves, check whether your attacker is targeting that enemy, whether the boss is inside the range circle, and whether a visible shield or resistance calls for a different unit. If damage is adequate but the boss exits before it dies, longer coverage or slow/stun support may buy more attack time.
MoffuGrooves' Re://Adventures recording shows a Wave 50 battle with a three-star enemy health bar labeled Magma. The video title discusses Akainu, but this frame does not label the enemy Akainu or show a capsule reward. Use the screenshot to locate the enemy health bar and watch your lane; one recorded Wave 50 is not a fixed spawn rule for the reported Akainu route.
No source we checked establishes an exact Akainu spawn wave or a script of phases. Watch the current run instead of saving every upgrade for a rumored wave number. If you lose, note the wave and which enemy leaked. On the next attempt, make one change: more early area damage for swarms, an anti-air unit for flyers, or a boss-focused upgrade if only the boss survives. That comparison tells you whether the change actually helped.
| Failure sign | First check | Adjustment |
|---|---|---|
| Normal enemies leak before Akainu | Opening placements and area coverage | Move funding back to wave clear before boss preparation |
| Flying enemy leaks | Can any equipped unit target air? | Bring available Hill or hybrid coverage |
| Boss takes little damage | Range, targeting, damage type and any visible shield | Upgrade focused damage or use a compatible shield answer |
| Boss almost dies but exits | How long it stays inside each range circle | Place for longer path coverage or add reliable control |

Read the capsule result, not a guessed drop rate
If the boss is defeated, check the result screen and your inventory for a capsule. Open only the capsule you actually received and record whether it produced Fire Shards, Fire Fist/Ace, or another displayed item. A single empty or lucky run cannot tell you the true drop chance. Guides report a possible direct Ace and a 100-shard exchange, but ItzVexo's September 23 walkthrough could not locate the Luffy NPC at 4:53–5:09. Treat that exchange as a route to verify in the current server, not a guaranteed coordinate.
Void_Td's September 23 video shows Fire Fist fighting at 6:37–8:52 and discusses the capsule route at 12:51. The image below is Fire Fist in combat, not a confirmed Akainu spawn or reward screen. If you are deciding how to acquire the unit rather than how to survive the fight, read /how-to-get-ace/ for the source-by-source distinction.

QUESTIONS / ANSWERS
Re Adventures Boss Guide: Akainu in Marineford Infinite FAQ
Where is Akainu in Re Adventures?
September guides report Akainu in Navy Bay/Marineford Infinite. Select Infinite in that world after it is unlocked; a Story act with the same world name is a different queue.
Which wave does Akainu spawn on?
No fixed, official spawn wave was established in the sources we checked. Watch the current run and do not plan around an unverified wave number.
What team should I bring?
Keep enough area damage for normal waves, a focused boss answer, compatible support, and air targeting if the stage reveals flyers. September guides cite Kyzen for shield breaking and Commander for physical support, but neither is required for the basic plan.
What is the capsule or Ace drop rate?
We could not verify an official current percentage. Inspect actual capsule results and avoid predicting a guaranteed number of runs.
How do I get Fire Fist/Ace?
Destructoid reports Akainu capsules in Marineford Infinite and a 100-Fire-Shard exchange; the NPC location was not confirmed in one September walkthrough. The separate Ace guide covers the evidence in detail.
